Mike Mareen (Uwe-Michael Wischhof) is one of those rare examples of an italo disco artist who is not at all Italian.
He had been singing in various genre's since 1974, and made a name for himself in his native Hamburg, Germany.
But he jumped on the genre in 1983 with the remake of Simon and Garfunkel's Cecilia.
The next year came Dancing in the Dark and it became an italo disco classic.
Then Double Trouble in 1985.
His most well known italo disco number came out in 1986 Love Spy just one the whole italo disco movement was on the decline. Agent of Liberty also came out in 1986.
