Mike Platinas and Javier Ussía after leaving Max Music, went to Italy to record an album with Memory Records, using songs of their catalog, all of them italo-disco tracks. This megamix was taken from the Spanish record shops being only available via import. It sold 35.000 copies before it appeared, and without any promo! Today is a hard-to-get album. Antonello Gabelli was Duke Lake as well as Goomy and Guitar Duck.

There were three releases on the seminal Italo disco label Memory.  The first and arguably the best in 1983 Do You? followed by Satisfaction, Love and Passion in 1984 and Dance Tonight in 1985.

Ubaldo Zambelli is Roy

Ubaldo Zambelli otherwise known as Roy had three italo disco releases.  Two are great and one is so-so.  The most well known is from 1985 Destiny Time on Memory Records.  It's been featured on countless compilations.  It also has the fortune of having a Swedish Beat Box Records remix.  Those guys usually do pretty well with their remixes and give proper respect to the original.

The first Love Me Now was recorded under the moniker Live Movies or Life Movies in 1984.  The female vocals are particularly unpleasant.  It almost seems like they wanted to make a rock record but decided to make an italo disco record that thinks it's a rock record.

ROY

The best was the last Shooting Star in 1987.  The vocals are solid and typical italo disco fun.   But the instrumentation is what really grabs with this one.  Incredibly danceable and inventive.  You've got to consider that at this point house music was it so for an italo disco to come out that late and still kill it was one great feat.
