Another Italo Disco gem from my favorite year for the genre 1983.
Co-written by Simona Zanini who was in Doctor's Cat, Martinelli, Radiogram and occasionally one of the artists listed as Valerie Dore too.
It's from the attempt that some Italo Disco producers were want to do, a pop record. But Italo is Italo it always has that feel. Something that certainly makes it a bit oft-kilter for the American market but surely accessible for certain pockets of Europe, Russia and Japan.
Simply infectious and pleasant. I'm happy for anyone that's hearing it for the first time. il Biscotto forever!

For Your Love by Klaudia (another Dora Carofiglio alias)
A one off Italo Disco project from 1982. For Your Love was a super early project before the greater influx to Italo projects and space disco from 1982.
Dora Carofiglio went on to become one of the most prevalent voices of Italo Disco in the 80's. Most well known as Valerie Dore and Novecento scoring huge crossover pop hits.

The Night Valerie Dore's signature italo disco single (including the Ben Liebrand remix)
Since this is my most popular blog post by far I've decided to put it back up to the top again.
Profile:
The Valerie Dore project was started with the voice of Dora Carofiglio, the vocalist of Novecento. She sang the hit "The Night". During the years of activity the team included also Monica Stucchi (who sang, with Dora Carofiglio, other hits like "Get Closer" and "It's So Easy"). Simona Zanini wrote the lyrics for the 2nd arc of the project, "The Legend" album and singles taken from it. Marco Tansini and Simona had been working with Merak Music (Monia, Diana Barton, John Ryel) and producer Roberto Gasparini decided to give them the job, which included Simona following Monica's singing and pronunciation, and recording background vocals too.
The Night is my favorite Valerie Dore record. She had a string of italo disco hits in the mid 80's. But this is her debut single from 1984. The download links are interspersed in the body of this blog.

A HOT ITALO DISCO MIX by COLOURZONE featuring Xenon, Gary Low, Steel Mind, Gazebo and much more
Colourzone is a DJ based in Canada. He has spun in many places and had a long residency in Acapulco in the 80's. Therefore he knows his Italo Disco! He calls this mix The Buildup cause the tracks are in the 100 BPM range. We will hear many italo disco classics in this fabulous mix including some that crossed-over pop in a big way and others that were more obscure and italo disco collectible.
The very first installment of the ITALO DISCO MIX Sets Project I promised
Michael I would work on. This one is called the Buildup because it contains
tracks starting at 100 BPM.
I will be posting the following volumes as I have time to get them done.
Enjoy.
I feel very lucky to called Colourzone a friend. Any other hot italo disco mixes out there? Make yourself known.
