Los Angeles T.F. a classic italo disco act Magical Magical is your body!

Los Angeles TF were formed  in 1980 and were composed of two Italian musicians, Franco Zasa e Tony Travagliante.  They recorded in the Milanese "Music Hall Studio," Tony and Frank began producing Italo Disco tracks for many important labels.  One of these songs, "Magical body",was distributed in the U.S.A. in 1983 and this became one of the first well known Italian Disco hits ever to chart on the "Billboard" dance charts peaking in the 40th position.  Their other hits include "Everliving fever","Plastic paradise" and"Let your body dance."

2 Los Angeles songs for you

Magical Body however was considerably better then their other releases and through play on WBMX and by many important DJ's it is considered a classic of the genre.  I personally never grow tired of it.  The lyrics are such a gas.  It's also their only release that has since become a collector's item.  I had Everliving Fever in my eBay store for so long that I finally just gave it to The Goodwill.

"Magical, Magical is your body Typical, Typical of a Latin Lover, Musical, Musical is your voice, Tropical, Tropical is your smile."

I hereby proclaim Dancer by Gino Soccio to be a perfect disco record

Not only is it a perfect disco record but it can be considered one of the earliest italo disco records.  Gino Soccio is Italo Canadese from Montreal.

I couldn't get a live performance of Dancer but here's one of The Visitors on Italian t.v.

Presage For Sale Baby Records Space Disco Classic

Presage was produced and arranged by Gian Piero Reverberani.  He also was responsible for the classic Rondò Veneziano.
A seminal space disco release on the classic italo disco label Baby it was released in 1983.  I have offered nine of the twelve tracks here.  I would have liked to find more information on this act, including the album cover but I did not succeed.  Not even on popsike.com or gemm.com which really surprised me because I'd imagine it's quite rare.  In any case I'd imagine you'll enjoy it.  It was a staple on the Cybernetic Broadcasting Network.  You can hear them nowadays on Intergalactic FM.
For sale was a side label of Baby Records.

Delphis by The Impossibles a great example of the Madchester sound

I ordinarily don't dip into the 90's but I'm going to make an exception with this post.  In 1991 I was just crazy about this song.  Though I'd have to say it is quite obscure.
The Impossibles (Mags Grundy and Lucy Dallas) are a female duo from Edinburgh who put out three singles between 1990 and 1991.  Delphis is the second one.  It's very much part of the Manchester Ambient sound that was huge in the early 90's.  Farley and Heller even got their hands on it and made a pretty cool mix.  Though I like all the mixes on the twelve inch and am including all four in a zip.
The 45 features a cover of the 60's classic Be My Baby.  I haven't heard it but I definitely think The Impossibles were simply made for that girl group sound.  Apparently they have a track called Meet Me Again which only appeared on an indie compilation release.  They later became a four-piece band but remained as obscure as before and eventually just broke up.  DOWNLOAD DELPHIS HERE
