Another Adventurous Shep Pettibone Gem ELEANOR
A very hot dance hit in 1987, Eleanor Academia's Adventure still sounds fresh today. It's no wonder Shep Pettibone had the magic touch. It does sound an awful lot like D Train You're the One for Me but you can't go wrong copying that. It was definitely one of the most solid dance record of the entire decade. The little bit of world vocals at the end are also a nice way to take the record out. Bet it sounded hot mixing that and repeating it loads before moving into the next hot number which would probably have been any number of classic early House gems.
So any word on Shep's club out in Asbury Park, New Jersey? I hear he spins most Saturdays.
Just click on the title of this blog entry and you'll be brought right to the download.

also, what are your feelings towards modern disco edits? do they water down the soul or are they a good way to bring back / update tunes?
I feel positive towards them. Since they are much more pleasurable to listen to then 90% of the dance music that is produced today, why not?
