This Italo Disco track like my beloved Come on Closer by The Pineapples features the vocals of a U.S. Navy soldier. Larry Paul Emmett from Beaufort, South Carolina.
Interestingly he pronounces Evita as an Italian would since evitare actually means to avoid. So I'd suspect this Evita has nothing to do with Peron.
EVITA
Emmett also recorded as Coco Bill which did a very spacey italo disco cover of Billie Jean. Which is probably as hard to find as this record is. Especially since it features Michael Jackson's vocals in it and I'd suspect it was a completely illegal bootleg kinda thing.
ExpatMichael's opinion of anything relating to disco, Italo disco, funk and boogie music. Promotion for my Ebay and Discogs stores which concentrate on the sale of Disco, Funk, Italo Disco, Hi NRG, New Wave, morning music, sleaze and anything pressed on vinyl. Moody, Dark, early italo by Steel Mind
This italo track from 1982 has that Cosmic feel. Kinda dark and not particularly danceable. It definitely points you in the direction that the spacey italo disco from 1983 that I love so much will sound like. BOSS MAN
Somebody somewhere must be glad that I'm under quarantine. My pain could be your pleasure!

My Sweet Dream Simon Bennett
This Italo Disco obscurity from 1985 takes some inspiration from darkwave and certainly has some of that new wave kinda deadpan delivery.
Nothing special for the genre but you know how I love to share all things Italo Disco with you all.

Time from Can't you Feel it up to Love is the Reason
Italo Disco act Time had their first release in 1982 with Can't you Feel it. They had a few follow-up singles such as Shaker Shake and Love is the Reason.
I really can't say there is much that distinguishes them from many other italo disco acts from the period.
But as your personal italo archivist it's not like I have to be crazy about everything I post. It may very well be something that someone else adores.
So in this time of the virus and the contagion and being at home in Rome on lockdown I thought it was about Time I posted again.
