Ahhhh morning music a genre relatively unheard of now. Just think that back in the day a soft rock, new wave or ballad gem could get major exposure on an important crowded dance floor. Even more incredible to believe that the sounds of pretty could actually bring joy to punters.
WIKIPEDIA THE SAINT
Of course morning music will never be like it once was at the mega super-club in the East Village The Saint. But that doesn't mean that this style of music should not be celebrated even today.
Any Trouble's Touch and Go is a definitive morning music track. I'd also have to say it was a nifty name for this relatively obscure group from Manchester.

Here are some of my favorite morning music/sleaze tracks: Only Music Survives - Alba, It's Over - Alma Faye, Victim - Candi Staton, This Time - Chante Moore, When Your Heart Is Weak - Cock Robin, Try My Love - Denise LaSalle, I Don't Mind (take everything) - Eugene Record, Test The Trust - Evident, No Promises - Icehouse, Was That All It Was - Jean Carn, Love Thy Will Be Done - Martika, Total Control - The Motels, Loving You Losing You - Phyllis Hyman, American Love - Rose Laurens, No Conversation - View From The Hill
That's a great overview. I'd have to say I don't really know two of them, Evident and View from the Hill. The others I had except perhaps for Martika which I like but never bought.
Neither Evident nor View from the Hill are rare and are
well worth a listen or 100. Martika still makes me cry every time I hear it (although I'm not a huge fan of the Prince remix).
View from the Hill is on Youtube:

Unfortunately Evident is not.
I asked some friends and they gave me all the ones I was missing. Mark Thomas gave me Martika but it was alas the Prince remix.

I did a Losing Game post about a year ago. I'll soon have most of the others on the list too. Do you have them all?
Aida Ross and Lidia Tarnowska I only have as MP3s, the rest I have on vinyl. I've actually never even seen the Aida Ross.
Those two would be great. I haven't gotten them yet.
I'd be more than happy. How can I get them to you?
Could you upload to media fire and then send a link? Over on the side is my contact information and my twitter. Thanks
James I never did end up hearing from you again.
ExpatMichael, discovering your blog lately, especially posts related to The Saint, and so thankful you've posted this, so cool! Hope you're well :)
