Incantations and KKK by G.A.N.G.

Two 1983 releases from the prime of the italo disco era.  The first single by G.A.N.G. entitled Incantations on the sublime DiscoMagic records.  And it's even better follow-up KKK.

KKK
also in mp3

I had a copy of the follow-up single K.K.K. which was much better but I sold it on ebay about fifteen years ago.

Baby on Fire, now that's a ridiculous title for a song DiscoMagic 1985

A one off single by Ottomix and P.K. Single from 1985.  Ottomix being an alias for a D.J. called Ottorino Menardi.

HIS WEBSITE

He's on a ton of records from 1984 right up to a rarity collection in 2017.  Many of them tech house and techno.  A lot of the releases were labeled Joe Inferno.

There isn't anything particularly special about this record.  It's no wonder that it's remained obscure.  Just the fact that it's on DiscoMagic makes it interesting.  So many of my favourites of the genre on that label.  But that being said I do find it enjoyable.  I'm here to bring you more Italo Disco so why not.

Is your baby on fire?

The breezy italo disco sounds of L.A. Messina

L.A. Messina or L.A. Message debut single Day Dream is another production from the seminal year of Italo Disco 1983.  Released on the important label DiscoMagic.

This moniker is responsible for four releases, believe it or not one is from 2017.  That one called My Illusion is already a collectible but certainly doesn't get the exaggerated prices of Day Dream.  Day is a lot more poppy then a lot of my spacey favorites from 1983.

 GRAB IT

Definitely a cheerful record.

Run To Me Lena

I've been neglecting my blog.  I haven't gone this long without a post for a while.  I hope you'll all forgive me.  The end of the year period for teachers gets a little hectic.

But I hope you think the wait was worth it when  you hear this lovely little ditty.  Lena's Run to Me from 1987 on Disco Magic Records Italy.  A one off project that came at the tail end of the Italo Disco era.

It's got it all.  Funny pronunciation, strange lyrics and that infectious danceable beat.  I've even got a Brazilian remix in the zip.  I think I might like the simple single edit best in this case though.

Please show your support for my blog.  There are obvious ways to do so and every little bit helps.  Hope everyone is having a great summer.

Flood by Delanua Super Early Italo Disco Track

Delanua' is Domenico Ricci, who later achieved great italo disco success using the moniker Joe Yellow. The tracks as Delanua' are seminal early italo disco classics.  As a matter of fact Flood was only the 5th release on what was to become one of the most important italo disco labels in history, DiscoMagic.  There are some real rock style guitar licks that are reminiscent of Goblin on Flood.  In any case in 1980 italo disco hadn't become such a sensation and was still to form it's most definitive style.  This record does show however that Italy was going to be a force to be reckoned with in the field of dance music in the 80's.  DOWNLOAD FLOOD

Serving a new wave look

The tracks recorded as Joe Yellow were much more of the poppy italo disco sound that was able to cross-over onto pop charts around the world, Lover to Lover and and Take my Heart are just a couple Joe Yellow classics.  As Bob Salton he recorded the seminal spacey italo disco track Starknight which I have blogged about in the past.
